Fairytales in a Different way, a Genius Indeed

Tim Burton.

I idolize him. I want to be a director one day...and his works make me dream in ways I could never imagine.

For my Tech Theater class, we have to do a project on a job we would want in Theater...I would've chosen actor. But instead I decided to choose Director. So we had to choose a famous director to use as an example in the project...so of course, it had to be Tim Burton.

Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (2005), The Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, and (soon to be!) Alice In Wonderland...are only a few of his masterpieces.

Each one of these works has inspired me, and let me see the world in a different way. He creates fairytales in a completely unlikely way

Of course a story about a gentle man, with scissors for hands who falls in love with a normal girl and ends up destroying things without meaning to, is not your every-day-fairytale. But it's still a fairytale, and it's still beautiful.

His facination with misunderstood, lonely characters breaks my heart in all his movies...happy or sad ending.

His haunting music and unforgettable scenes make his movies simply magical.

The way that his mind works is unlike ANYONE else which makes him just so special to me...Thank you Mr. Burton, for changing my life in the simplest ways.

One of the most beautiful scenes I have EVER seen in any movie.
It melts my heart and makes me feel as if part of me is in another world...

This is Tim Burton's first ever stop motion animation, and in fact, his first project EVER!
I love it with a passion as it is somehow very artistic, and of course has alot to do with Edgar Allan Poe.
It just shows how wild a child's mind is. How everything is just so big. And at the same time,
another strange character, which I love :)

So tell me who inspires you so very much!

Oh, another sweet post! I love Tim Burton and his movies too, my favourite is Edward Scissorhands! I can't wait for Alice in Wonderland to come out to see his genius work again!!

I'm inspired by so many different things, books, movies and people. I adore Zooey Deschanel, she's one of my favourite inspirations:)
